Gems from Carnival of Personal Finance #85
January 31, 2007 by TFB
The Carnival of Personal Finance #85 is hosted at FiveCentNickel this week. The host did a very good job in putting it together. My submission was Tax Software: Online or Desktop? These are the posts I liked the most in this carnival:
- A Historical Look at Tax Brackets by Jim at Blueprint for Financial Prosperity. Jim did great research for tax rates in the not so distant past.
- A Fool and His Money… by Lou Keeble at Stranger in a Strange Land about Motley Fools.
- Beware: 0% APR Game by Martin at Money Blog Site. Being smart gaming a 0% balance transfer can be shortsighted.
- Model Retirement/Investment Portfolios: A Comparison by Jonathan at My Money Blog. All the model portfolios are very good. Who needs a financial advisor?
And here's one post I liked that's not in the carnival:
- How the government thwarts savings by samerwriter. All sorts of IRAs (deductible, non-deductible, Roth, SEP, SIMPLE, …), 401(k)s, 403(b)s, 457s, confuse people and eventually lead to lower savings and higher revenues to brokers and financial advisors.
Software picked, likely related posts:
