Another book talking about how people can't plan and do simple arithmetic. I'm in this age group (born in 1978) and, while not wealthy, I am saving for the future and have a decent job. The author's proposals are crazy. How can a nursing assistant become a registered nurse w/o the nursing degree and licensing? A registered nurse has a professional degree w/ practical knowledge, theoretical knowledge, and a state license. That's the barrier to entry for nursing. No, I am not a nurse. Collective bargaining works and it doesn't: it help to raise folks out of poverty, but it's self-protectionism has led the big three car makers into financial ruin.
