The Finance Buff on Amazon Kindle

Note: Amazon sets the price, not I. I would make it FREE if I could. FAQs from Amazon Kindle Publishing:

6.     Can I set the price for my blog?

No. Amazon will define the price based on what we deem is a fair value for customers.

7.     Can I make my blog free?

I wonder what Amazon is thinking with not letting people set their own prices. Kind of the direct opposite of the Apple app store approach. Very interesting. It seems to me that adding lots of free blogs and such would be a great way for them to make the Kindle a piece of killer hardware. Much as I love this blog, if I had a Kindle there's no way I would pay to add it to my device. Too many other ways to read for free…

When I read thing like this about Amazon and the Kindle, I can't help but wonder why anyone would buy this thing. It is sold at full retail, there is no discount on books (they set all prices ) you cannot give away, sell, or trade your old books as you can with real books, they sue people who try and put their own content on it, using the DMCA, which is absurd and ann abuse of the meaning of the law, and now this nonsense with THEM setting a blog's price.

Amazon is VERY draconian with this way overpriced little gadget, and I for one will not own it until they loosen their stranglehold on the use, delivery ( open it up to other publications), and stop acting like the RIAA and MPAA and trying to sue customers who want to put content they own on a device they own.

IMO this is just bad busness. I would encourage you to pull your blog as well and not fuel this monster any more.
